ENGAGE will provide a context where mission pastors and agency leaders can listen to the perspective of outstanding majority world mission leaders from eight regions of the world while discussing the challenges of the globalization of western missions. Initial research of 40 agencies has identified twenty-five of the most common challenges. Those wrestling with these challenges understand that the old wineskins of how missions was done must be replaced with a new wineskin for the new reality. An overview of the challenges being addressed at ENGAGE is availa

For Church Leadership
The new paradigm of global missions has brought the local church back to the table where discussion on missions is taking place. This is true for both the western church as well as the majority world church. This fact is fundamentally changing the way missions will take place. The local church must now discern when to partner with a mission agency, when to engage directly, when to second a missionary to majority world ministry, and when to invite majority world missionaries to serve on their staff in outreach to immigrant populations
ENGAGE will provide a context where missions pastors of local churches are able to interact with agency leadership on models of cooperation as well as new personnel and finance policies that are being developed. This will take place in the context of reflecting on what majority world mission leaders would consider to be best practice for engaging with their ministries.
