ADULT-CROSS-CULTURAL-KIDS RETREAT, Germany

Kids and Teenagers who grow up abroad are different. They often feel as if they have two hearts beating in their chest. One beating for the culture in which they grow up and the other for the culture of their parents. We call them Cross-Cultural-Kids (CCKs) or Third-Culture-Kids (TCKs).
They are very flexible and can easily adjust. But most of the times they don't really know where they are at home, where they belong and who they are. They find it the easiest to communicate with people who are CCKs too.

WHEN: 24.-26. Feb. 2012

WHERE: Riederau am Ammersee / Bavaria / Germany

WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Creative Weekend for CCKs: Exchanging experiences, learning from each other, discovering ourselves and meeting people who have a similar story to tell.

WHO IS THE ORGANIZER?
Jochen and Christine Schuppener have together with their 3 children lived abroad for 8 years. As intercultural and psychological consultants they mainly support repatriates in the reintegration process and after critical incidents.
www.jochen-schuppener.de

Andreas Radlingmayr is a CCK and paediatrician. He has staffed many retreats for CCKs before.

WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN? We will meet on the Friday evening for dinner and a relaxed get-together. On Saturday we will be dealing interactively and creatively with the red thread in our lives. Some people share their own life story and we watch a DVD covering „our“ topic. After having brunch on the Sunday morning the retreat finishes around 11 a.m.

WHAT ARE THE COSTS? Costs are 109 Euros including food and board for those who register until 14th October. After this date 129 Euros.
